Dream come true

Success continues to follow Susan Boyle in her journey as a world renown singer. According to CNN, “Susan Boyle’s dreams continue to come true. The singing sensation who emerged from obscurity on “Britain’s Got Talent” is topping the charts, selling the most albums of any artist in a single week this year with the largest ever sales debut for a female artist.”

This ‘rags to riches’ story has surely touched the heart of millions. I personally feel very guilty for the way that I reacted to her appearance when she walked on the stage of “Britain’s Got Talent.” I remember snickering to myself and saying “Who is that?!” But that statement quickly turned into a positive remark. Soon the whole world was saying, “Who is that?!” I would like to wish her all the luck in the world. Her talent will take her to the moon and back. What do you think of Susan Boyles stardom? Let us know!

Tiger drama

There is a thin line between a celebs personal life and entertainment. When is that line crossed? As you may know, Tiger Woods is in a PR whirlwind related to his “transgressions.”

According to CNN, “I have let my family down and I regret those transgressions with all of my heart. I have not been true to my values and the behavior my family deserves,” he said in a statement on his official Web site.” Those “transgressions” that he is relating to are not known by the public. And frankly, they shouldn’t be. What happens in this man’s personal life should be of no concern to the paparazzi or his fans. What happens at home, stays at home.

Another quote from CNN also stated,”I am not without faults and I am far short of perfect. I am dealing with my behavior and personal failings behind closed doors with my family. Those feelings should be shared by us alone.”

I completely agree with his statement. What do you think? Let us know!

Good to be bad

Last night marked the premiere of the fourth season of Oxygen’s ‘Bad Girls Club.’ According to Oxygen,”Bad Girls Club brings seven self-proclaimed “bad girls” together in a beautiful Los Angeles mansion, and drama reigns supreme. All the girls have a unique story, point of view and attitude — as well as some kind of personal issue that makes them far from perfect. Will living together help them move forward and turn their lives around — or will chaos rule?”

Lines were drawn and sides where taken. The first episode of this season of Bad Girls Club has to be the most intense compared to the first episodes of previous seasons. Screaming, arguing, and hair-pulling was at an ultimate high within the first 15 minutes of the show! These ladies definitely need some lessons in class, but it is oh so entertaining. I have an idea who my favs are gonna to be just by watching the first episode, whose corner are you in?? Let us know!

These are the girls’ bios that I’ve borrowed from Oxygen’s web site. Take a look!

Natalie: A spunky self-proclaimed socialite, Natalie enjoys cruising in her sugar daddies’ expensive cars and painting the town red with her cool celebrity friends. With a degree in Sociology, Natalie operates her ownfashion boutique in Northern California. This flamboyant rebel proclaims to “run LA.

Kate: As the daughter of a prominent former politician in Gloucester, MA, Kate grew accustomed to life in the spotlight. Pursuing her degree at Boston College, Kate has traded in her small town ways to live life in the fast lane. This spoiled school girl is making sure all eyes are on her whatever it takes.

Flo: With her tough talking, “born to be bad” style, this bisexual party girl refuses to be the Albanian Muslim ideal of a passive, obedient female her family would hope for. Staten-Island girl Florina always encourages women to stand up for themselves and is prepared to fight for the underdog at the drop of a hat.

Kendra: Kendra’s a boy crazy, rule breaking opposite of her perfect and obedient twin sister. She’s also a pretty pageant girl from Charlotte, NC, pursuing a degree in political science.

Annie: Her sweet innocent demeanor is a cover for her bad behavior. A true Jekyll and Hyde character from Valencia, CA, Annie works as a phone sex operator at night while pursuing her MBA in marketing in the day. She’s a control freak with a life goal of bodily perfection.

Amber: A true rags-to-riches story, Amber is a beer drinking girl next door from Morgantown, WV, who aspires to be a personal trainer. Known as “the backstabber,” Amber’s scheming nature makes her a pro at pulling sneaky pranks.

Portia: Sugar and spice epitomized, Portia’s notable characteristics include vindictive behavior, a sharp tongue and a “try anything once” mentality. Urban living and a painful adolescence in Columbia, MO toughened Portia’s skin.

2009 Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade

Many people that I’ve talked to have said that the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade is boring. I could not disagree more! It’s one of the few days out of the year that this country can enjoy something together. I don’t think of myself has traditional but I believe that this is one of the few legit traditions that this country has left. Okay, I have to admit that the marching band performances to get a little old after the tenth one, but even that is enjoyable to watch for a while. I also think it’s neat to see all the celebrities come out of their characters and greet the crowds. Everyone involved, even those watching from home, become closer for the holiday season.

What are your thoughts on the parade? If you would like more information on the parade, please visit Macy’s website. If your are lucky enough to view the parade in NYC please visit About.com for tips on where to park and how to prep for the day.

Johnny takes it again

Well it’s official. Johnny Depp has officially been voted 2009’s Sexiest Man Alive. The actor also received the title in 2003 making him one of three stars to receive the title twice! It seems that the pirate style has fit Depp quite well.

According to People, “Bringing the fun with him wherever he goes — whether it’s onscreen in fizzy roles like Captain Jack Sparrow in the “Pirates of the Caribbean” franchise or at home with his family on their private Bahamian island — is just one reason why Depp, who also scored the honor in 2003, has joined an elite club of two-time SMA title holders (only Brad Pitt and George Clooney have matched the feat).”

Do you agree with the decision?? If no, who SHOULD have received the title for 2009? Let us know!

Courtney drama

Courtney Love has has once again removed the filter between her brain and her mouth. The former rocker has libel suit pending because of a recent rant she made public on her Twitter account. Love had a few choice words to say about designer Dawn Simorangkir. Here are just a couple of the Tweets that ABC posted on their website.

“oi vey don’t f*** with my wardrobe or you will end up in a circle of corched earth hunted til your dead.”

“as one of her many bullied victims smashes her face soon as she’s an assault addict herself (there’s apparently prostitution in her record too”

Do you believe that Love should take responsibility for her actions? Or should the matter be pushed aside? There are many similar cases around the country that consist of personal opinions being posted on social sites. Privacy issues related to the Internet are becoming a norm that has many split on the issue.

According to CNN, “Consider the case of Amanda Bonnen and her former landlord. Bonnen, an Illinois resident, is accused of using Twitter to tell another user: “Who said sleeping in a moldy apartment was bad for you? Horizon Realty thinks it’s okay.”"Horizon Group Management LLC, the company that owned the apartment in question, sued Bonnen for libel over the alleged tweet. Horizon is seeking $50,000 in damages.”

What are your thoughts on the issue of privacy on social sites? Eggshells seem to be the new danger of the Internet.
